SUPERIOR, WI (CBS-3) – Superior Police and the Emergency Response Team responded to a disturbance at 19th Street and Banks Avenue around 9:20 a-m Thursday.
Police say there is no threat to the public but “as the call unfolded, it became apparent that a more robust response was necessary to deescalate the situation.”
At one point police could be heard calling for a suspect to exit the home through the front door with hands up.
Based on department protocol and the “un-cooperativeness” of the person causing the disturbance, police called in the Emergency Response Team.
While Superior Police say the disturbance is “contained,” the public is being asked to stay away from the area.
