DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth School Board with the Goldfine family and Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation has recognized all Duluth Public School teachers as Gold Star teachers.
In 2007, the Gold Star award was established by Manly and Lillian Goldfine to honor an outstanding teacher each year.
Since the past year was like no other, all of the teachers in the district went above and beyond in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A Resolution of Gratitude was passed unanimously by the School Board Tuesday evening.
Normally the Gold Star award alternates each year between elementary and secondary teachers but next year both awards will be presented.
