DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Air Guard’s 148th Fighter Wing is conducting night training missions this week.
The Close Air Support (CAS) training is in support of Special Operations ground forces.
During the operations Joint Terminal Air Controllers communicate with aircraft to protect friendly ground forces.
Residents in northern Minnesota will likely hear aircraft taking off, flying and landing during nighttime hours Monday through Thursday.
The Air Guard says all the jets will be back on the ground by midnight each night.
