DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The final stretch of work is underway in the Kingsbury Bay restoration project in the West Duluth area.
Public parking on Pulaski Street and a short section of the Waabizheshikana Trail will be temporarily closed for about two weeks beginning July 6th.
Crews will be improving the trails accessibility, re-paving the surface and re-seeding disturbed areas.
In this final year of work, contractors will continue dredging Kingsbury Bay and using sediment to restore areas at Grassy Point where milling waste was removed last year.
Funding for the 18 million dollar project came from the Minnesota Outdoor Heritage Fund.
