DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Mayor Emily Larson and the City Administration have announced their recommendations for spending the 58 million dollars allocated for Duluth from the American Rescue Plan.
Investments will be made in affordable housing, job training, utility and broadband infrastructure, public safety crisis intervention, community violence programs and City Hall improvements.
Assistance will also be provided to small business, tourism and other COVID impacted industries.
City departments submitted requests for a portion of the funds which were reviewed for eligibility by the City Finance Department, Attorney’s Office and the Minnesota State Auditor.
The recommendations will be presented to the City Council on July 6th
