DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin from 6 p-m on Tuesday until noon Wednesday.
A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect for the south shore of Lake Superior in Bayfield, Ashland and Iron Counties of Wisconsin.
The Twin Port area is expecting 2 to 5 inches of snow creating slippery roads and hazardous conditions especially during the morning commute time on Wednesday.
Another shot of cold temperatures and wind chill readings in the 20 below range will follow the snow.
The snow belt areas of the south shore could see up to ten inches with locally higher amounts possible.
Travel there could be very difficult with reduced visibility in snow and blowing snow. White out conditions are possible along Highways 13 and 2 in the Chequamegon Bay and Bayfield Peninsula areas.
