DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A fire on Thursday morning in Duluth caused an estimated 80 thousand dollars in damage to a home in the 700 block of West 4th Street.
Firefighters arrived just after 7 a-m to find smoke coming from the rear of the two story structure and heavy fire inside.
Due to the large amount of water needed to control the fire, there was considerable water damage in addition to smoke and fire damage.
There were no injuries but the home is uninhabitable.
The cause of the fire was said to be an electrical heating component.
The fire department also had to deal with a damaged hose caused by vehicles driving over it. They remind the public to detour around fire scenes and never drive over deployed hose lines.
