DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – St. Louis County will be sending out the annual Estimated Market Value (EMV) notices to property owners in the coming weeks.
The notice will provide details on the price the property would sell for on the open market and its classification.
Residential property values have increased substantially as the county saw its busiest real estate market in 20 years.
The value and classification placed on property by assessors are used to determine tax bills but the increase in valuation does not automatically mean an increase in property taxes.
The St. Louis County Assessor’s Office has created a web page with answers to frequently asked questions at stlouiscountymn.gov/assessor.
