COOK, MN (KDAL) – The Canadian National Railway reported a train derailment on Saturday evening about 7 miles north of Cook.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department says it occurred in a non-residential swampy area.
The northbound train was made up of 123 cars with 14 near the end of the train derailing.
St. Louis County Emergency Management was called to the scene since some of the cars contained hazardous materials.
There were no reports of any leaks or spills.
