DULUTH, MN (CBS3 DULUTH) – Saturday, Dec. 28 was the final night of the Bentleyville “Tour of Lights” in Bayfront Festival Park for the 2019 season.
To commemorate the final night of 2019 there was a fireworks show at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night.
It was a successful year for Bentleyville as they won USA Today’s 2019 Readers Choice Awards for Best Public Holiday Lights Display. Christmas Town USA – McAdenville, N.C. was second place in the voting.
The Bentleyville “Tour of Lights” is America’s largest free walk-through lights display and is located at Bayfront Festival Park.
Visitors in Duluth could check out the more than five million lights spread across a 20-acres each night through December 28 at the Duluth display.
The Mayor of Bentleyville, Nathan Bentley, told our news partners at CBS3 Duluth that this year’s closing night was impacted by the weekend storm. The weather also had an impact on attendance as they were forced to close a few days this season due to large snow amounts.
Bentleyville is asking for volunteers to help take down the decorations starting Saturday, January 4, 2020.
