UNDATED (KDAL) – The 2022 mid-term elections brought out a large number of voters in both Minnesota and Wisconsin Tuesday.
Governors Tim Walz in Minnesota and Tony Evers in Wisconsin were re-elected.
U-S Senator Ron Johnson has a slight lead over Mandela Barnes in Wisconsin and area Congressmen Pete Stauber and Tom Tiffany will both return to Washington.
St. Louis County voters chose Gordon Ramsay as the new Sheriff and Keith Nelson was re-elected as County Commissioner in District 6.
Duluth voters turned down an increase in property taxes to help fund City Parks and Superior voters overwhelmingly said “yes” to a question about legalizing marijuana for those over 21.
In a very close race for Minnesota House District 3-B, DFL incumbent Mary Murphy was defeated by GOP challenger Natalie Zeleznikar by just 35 votes.
In Wisconsin, Republican Angie Sapik topped Democrat Laura Gapske in the race for Assembly District 73 with 51 percent of the vote.
