DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The City of Duluth is giving residents and businesses in the Lincoln Park area a chance to join a pilot project that will provide them with a high speed internet connection.
The planned city-owned fiber network would provide an estimated 1900 customers internet service at 20 to 30 dollars less than current private average plans.
If the Lincoln Park plan is a success, the city would look to deploy the service across the rest of Duluth.

This past summer the City Council approved a Broadband Master Plan that recommended the Duluth Fiber project.
Mayor Emily Larson says it is crucial that everyone in Duluth have reliable, affordable access to high speed internet connectivity to meet the needs of current and future technology.
