ASH RIVER, MN (KDAL) – A 63 year old man from Burnsville was taken to a Duluth hospital for treatment of injuries received in a snowmobile accident on Saturday.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Scot Shaft was driving his snowmobile in a convoy on the Voyageur Trail southeast of Ash River.
As he navigated a turn, the snowmobile hit a rock throwing Shaft from the machine.
Other members of the convoy were able to transport the victim to the Ash River Resort where he was airlifted by LifeLink Helicopter to Essentia-St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth with non-life threatening injuries.
