DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Beach Hazards Statement for dangerous swimming conditions on Lake Superior beaches.
Strong winds and high waves will continue through the day and will make for difficult swimming at Park Point and Wisconsin Point beaches.
Conditions are also favorable for the formation of rip currents that can sweep swimmers swiftly away from shore and out to deeper water.
Winds will gust to 40 miles per hour from the east on Wednesday and will become more southeasterly on Thursday.
