UNDATED (KDAL) – The cities of Duluth and Superior will host a Lake Superior watershed cleanup event on September 26th.
Registration for the virtual Coastal Cleanup is now open at the city’s websites and volunteers can choose the location and time for the work.
The clean up is not just limited to beaches and coastal areas but is open to any neighborhood in the Twin Ports where debris removal will prevent it from entering storm drains that flow directly into the lake.
The Twin Ports Virtual Cleanup is part of a global event that began in 1986 to clean shorelines around the world.
Your litter pickup results can also be posted online.
Sign up and get more information in Duluth at duluthmn.gov/kdc or in Superior at ci.superior.wi.us/Twin-Ports-Virtual-Cleanup.
