DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – U-S Senator Amy Klobuchar, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Duluth Mayor Emily Larson joined other local and Essentia Health officials in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new St. Mary’s Medical Center on Thursday.
A community open house is being held on Friday.
The public is invited to tour the new facility to get an up-close look at the patient care areas, the features and amenities of the state-of-the-art building.
Those attending the open house from 11 a-m to 7 p-m Friday should use the 402 East 2nd Street entrance and can park in several ramps in the area including the Essentia Red or Green ramps and the city owned ramp on 1st Street.
Members of the United Steelworkers and Minnesota Nursing Association are expected to conduct informational pickets at the downtown Essentia campus during the day Friday but all facilities remain open.
