(Reuters) – A broad area of low pressure, associated with a tropical wave, over the far eastern Atlantic, which is beginning to spread over the Cape Verde Islands has a 40% chance of becoming a cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.
“Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form later this week,” the Miami-based forecaster said.
