UNDATED (KDAL) – Several events are being held Monday in the Twin Ports in honor of Indigenous Peoples Day.
A celebration will be held at 11 a-m on the steps of City Hall in Duluth and will featuring dancing, drumming, art displays and a proclamation from Mayor Emily Larson.
The University of Wisconsin-Superior will hold a ceremony and celebration beginning at 5 p-m.
That event will be held at the Medicine Wheel and Community Gathering Area on the UWS campus near the Yellowjacket Union.
The family friendly event is open to all and is sponsored by the Department of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
