DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – With just over a week to go, the Duluth Salvation Army’s Red Kettle fundraising drive is running about 9 thousand dollars behind last year at this time.
Cyndi Lewis, Director of Development, is unsure if it’s the lack of snow, a shortage of bell ringing volunteers, the economy or all three that’s causing the lack of donations this season.
She says their goal is to raise 225 thousand dollars to help the Salvation Army to provide needed services for families throughout the coming year.
Once again, Miner’s Incorporated is providing a match to donations at area Super One Stores from now through Saturday, December 23rd and register roundups will be taken through December 24th.
To volunteer as a bell ringer at any of the area Red Kettle locations, go to the website registertoring.com
Donations can also be made at DuluthSA.org
