DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The 16th Annual Creek Clean-up event is set for Saturday in Duluth.
Volunteers will be working along the banks of five creeks removing trash and debris before it ends up in Lake Superior.
Since the yearly efforts began, participants have collected over 25 thousand pounds of trash.
What they call “Clean Yer Creek” was started by Loll Designs to plant trees and clean up the area behind their production location.
It has since expanded to other creeks in the Lake Superior watershed.
Creeks scheduled for clean-up this year are Keene, Merritt, Miller, Chester and Amity/Lester.
More information and meet up locations can be found at the Clean Yer Creek Facebook or Instagram pages.
