DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The National Weather Service Office in Duluth indicates that the risk of severe weather late Wednesday afternoon and evening has increased.
Thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds are possible from 3 p-m to 11 p-m across north central and northeast Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.
There is also a chance of tornadoes especially in the Brainerd Lakes, Iron Range and international border areas.
These storms will affect the BWCA and campers are urged to take proper precautions or alter plans.
The primary threats during these storms are winds up to 70 miles per hour and large hail, up to 3 inches in diameter.
