DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Crews from the Superior National Forest have been working to repair damage caused by the heavy rain and flooding in June.
Eroded sections of trail on the Moose River North route in the BWCA and almost 200 miles of ATV trail in the area needed culvert repairs, trail resurfacing and replacing gates and signs.
As of this week, 16 roads remain closed and damage is restricting occupancy and use in several areas of the 3 million acre National Forest.
Travel advisories are ongoing since many roads still have shoulder and other infrastructure erosion that might not be readily apparent.
