DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth City Council on Monday night passed the maximum levy for the 2025 budget year at 1.85 percent.
When factoring in an equal amount of growth in the city’s tax base, this would result in a zero percent increase in the city portion of property taxes for residents and businesses.
The unanimous vote marks the first time the city tax levy has not increased since 2014.
A final budget for next year is being worked out and will need to pass the council before December 31st.
