Real quick update to give you the lines for this exhibition game.
UMD freshman Max Plante suffered an upper-body injury late in Saturday’s 4-3 overtime loss to Bemidji State and will not play in the game. Head coach Scott Sandelin will have a further update on Plante at his Wednesday media conference heading into next weekend’s games at UMass-Lowell.
After sitting Saturday because of a (dumb, soon to be non-existent) NCAA mandate, goalie Adam Gajan gets his first game action. It’s expected he will play the first two periods, followed by freshman Klayton Knapp.
Besides Max Plante being out, every other player sitting is healthy and available and played on Saturday. Forwards Carter Loney and Joe Molenaar, defenseman Luke Bast, and goalie Zach Sandy will get the day off and can stream football games on their phones if they wish.
