TEMPE, Ariz. — First off, a couple pictures from our guided tour of Mullett Arena earlier Friday. More on my BlueSky account. Thanks to Paige Shacklett of Arizona State for getting that set up for Matt Wellens, my son Hunter, and me. Apologies for the weirdness of the layout here, as I am not a pro at this and it shows.
Now, on to the hockey. Final games for UMD before a three-week or so holiday break. Of course, the “break” part of this is a hockey thing, as players are also preparing for finals that start back in Duluth on Monday.
Both teams were off last weekend, so it’ll either be a sleepy start or a frantic one. You pick.
Adam Gajan (lower body) is out, so freshman Klayton Knapp makes his first career start. Joe Molenaar (lower body) is also out, with Kyle Bettens drawing back into the lineup to replace him.
Klayton Knapp vs Luke Pavicich.
