DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for most of northern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin for wind chill readings around 35 below zero on Monday morning.
High temperatures during the day will be just above zero with winds gusting to 30 miles per hour from the northwest.
The cold follows snow that accumulated across the region on the weekend.
The National Weather Service Office in Duluth reported 7.2 inches and Cornucopia in Bayfield County had 9 inches. Most of the area saw around 6 inches of snow late Saturday into Sunday morning.
Temperatures are expected to moderate later this week with Thursday and Friday highs reaching the low 30’s.
