DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The staff at the Lake Superior Zoo has transported nearly 200 animals from the recently closed Sea Quest facility in Roseville to Duluth.
The various animals will be given some time to rest and become comfortable with their new surroundings.
Once they have settled in, veterinary exams will be done to assess any medical care or treatment that is needed.
The animals taken in by the Lake Superior Zoo include a reticulated python, budgies, macaws and parrots. Once the quarantine of the animals is complete, many will be on display at the zoo.
Those interested in helping to fund the necessary care for the new animals can find a donation link at the Lake Superior Zoo website lszoo.org
