SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – The UWS Lake Superior Research Institute and Department of Natural Sciences are hosting a free stargazing event in Swenson Hall on Friday night.
The event begins at 8 p-m with a presentation on constellations in the current night sky with Jim Lattis, the Director of the UW Space Place and associate in the Department of Astronomy at UW-Madison.
Then the event moves outdoors for stargazing via telescope and the UWS Observatory.
As an added treat in the night-time sky this weekend, Jupiter and Saturn are expected to align with the moon.
