DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The City of Duluth, the Duluth Economic Development Authority (DEDA) and AAR have announced a renewal of the aircraft maintenance hangar lease.
The agreement will keep the aviation services provider at the Duluth Airport location for another 20 years.
AAR began operations at the facility in 2012 and has around 300 employees.
According to the company, another 40 jobs will soon be added as they have seen a steady stream of airframe maintenance business from Canadian and U-S airlines.
AAR has also partnered with Lake Superior College to begin a skills-based mentorship program that compliments their aircraft maintenance technician certification curriculum.
