DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Duluth Police and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force simultaneously executed search warrants last Thursday at an apartment in the 1500 block of Kenwood Avenue and a hotel room in the 200 block of West 1st Street.
The searches wrapped up a two month long investigation into drug trafficking and heroin sales in the region.
Investigators seized about 4.3 pounds of heroin, a half pound of cocaine, a loaded firearm and nearly 95 thousand dollars in cash.
The heroin had an estimated street value of 350 thousand dollars, the largest seized amount in the history of Duluth Police and the Task Force.
The drug bust also resulted in the arrest of two suspects who are awaiting formal charges in the St. Louis County Jail.
