DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Recognizing excellence in complex logistics, transport and engineering, Duluth Cargo Connect has been named as Worldwide Port Terminal Operator of the Year.
The award was presented in Belgium by a panel of industry experts for the publication “Heavy Lift and Project Forwarding International.”
Duluth Cargo Connect is a partnership between the Duluth Seaway Port Authority, Lake Superior Warehousing and the Clure Public Marine Terminal.
Among the criteria used in selecting award winners are the safe and efficient handling of oversize cargo, investment in new equipment and facilities and the maintenance of existing facilities.
Duluth Cargo Connect specializes in heavy lift cargo and manages some of the Great Lakes’ most complex and sizable cargoes including a record amount of wind energy cargo this season.
