DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – St. Louis County Public Works and the City of Duluth will be holding a virtual public meeting to provide information about and get feedback on plans to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Glenwood Street and Snively Road.
The virtual meeting will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. Information on how to join the meeting, along with a full project summary, can be found online at stlouiscountymn.gov/glenwood-roundabout.
The roundabout is expected to be installed in 2022. The intersection of Snively Road, Jean Duluth Road and Glenwood Street currently is an all-way stop controlled intersection that has been experiencing significant delay during peak periods in the morning and evening.
St. Louis County engineers, working with the City of Duluth, conducted an intersection control evaluation in 2018, and determined a roundabout was the safest option, as well as the most efficient for moving traffic during all periods of the day.
The virtual meeting will include details on the project’s proposed design, construction impacts, and schedule.
