WHITE IRON LAKE, MN (KDAL) – Several law enforcement agencies were called to a plane crash on White Iron Lake Thursday night.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Department says the pilot and lone occupant of the plane, a 58 year old man from Woodbury, Minnesota, died on impact.
The plane took off from the Ely Airport just after 9 p-m and was on its way to the Grand Marais/Cook County Airport when it crashed.
The accident remains under investigation.
