UNDATED (KDAL) – The level of Lake Superior dropped by 2.8 inches last month but is still 9.1 inches above average at the start of November.
The average October decline is 1.2 inches.
The International Lake Superior Board of Control says the lake will continue to see seasonal declines in November but there will continue to be a risk of shoreline erosion, lake shore flooding and coastal damage during periods of strong winds and high waves.
