DULUTH, MN (CBS-3) – Duluth’s largest, privately owned building will soon feature a destination medical and surgery center.
According to a press release, the building, located on the corner of Arrowhead and Rice Lake Road, has housed the United Health Group for 20 years.
United Health Group, which employs about 600 on-site employees, will remain on the top floor.
Duluth-based developer Titanium Partners will work with several local medical providers who will become tenants in the building and create a destination medical center.
The medical providers include Northern Neurosurgery & Spine, Dermatology Duluth, and a local physical therapy practice. Other medical specialties within the building will be announced in the near future.
Officials say the destination medical and surgery center will add new jobs to the community and give residents in the region a choice when it comes to medical specialty providers.
The $16 million project includes upgrades to the exterior, new parking lots, and upgrades to the Arrowhead Road-Rice Lake Road intersection.
The new center is scheduled to open in late 2021.
