DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 a-m to 6 p-m on Tuesday for freezing drizzle and snow.
The advisory includes most of northeast Minnesota as a low pressure system moves across the Northland.
Expect precipitation to begin as snow and then transition to freezing drizzle late in the morning and continue into the afternoon.
Areas in the higher elevations of the North Shore are expected to see the highest snow accumulations of one to three inches in addition to a light glaze of ice.
Elsewhere, snow accumulations are expected to be under an inch with ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch.
Make sure to slow down when traveling Tuesday, as roads are likely to become slippery.
