DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation Board of Trustees has named Judge Shaun Floerke as the next president and CEO of the organization.
The 55 year old Floerke has been a judge in Duluth for 16 years and will take over for David Montgomery who has led the foundation on an interim basis since July.
Holly Sampson retired in June after leading the organization for 30 years.
Floerke says he is energized by to lead the foundation, saying the resources they oversee and the work it does is incredible.
Floerke will step into his new role on January 11th and will retire as a judge from the 6th Judicial District effective January 1st.
Since its start, the Duluth Superior Community Foundation has distributed more than 60 million dollars in grants and scholarships and has established over 430 funds.
