UNDATED (KDAL) – The Lake Superior water level declined by 1.2 inches last month but remains well above normal.
The normal seasonal decline in November is 2 inches.
At the beginning of December, the lake is 9.8 inches above the long term average but is 3.2 inches below what it was a year ago.
According to the International Lake Superior Board of Control, there will continue to be an increased risk for shoreline erosion, lake shore flooding and coastal damage during periods of strong winds and high waves.
