DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Southbound I-35 traffic will be briefly stopped just north of 27th Avenue West starting at 9:30 a-m on Thursday.
The ramp from southbound Highway 53 to southbound I-35 and the ramp from westbound I-535 to southbound I-35 will also be temporarily closed.
The closures will last about 10 to 15 minutes as crews install overhead power lines.
Motorists should expect delays when traveling in the area during that time Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, work to reconstruct the 27th Avenue West bridge over the freeway is ongoing and lane restrictions remain in place.
Closures and detours will become more common as work on the Twin Ports Interchange project ramps up this spring.
