DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Duluth area temperatures on Tuesday are expected to reach record highs in the upper 50’s, followed by a forecast of snow by Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Watch for much of northeast Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin Wednesday evening through Thursday morning.
A band of heavy snow could drop up to 8 inches in parts of the Minnesota watch area and significant ice accumulations could occur in northern Wisconsin.
Precipitation will begin as rain on Wednesday morning, mixing with snow in the afternoon and becoming all snow at night.
Moderate accumulations are expected but the location of the band of heavy snow could change in later forecasts.
