DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Due to the ongoing challenges of recruiting blood donors during the COVID-19 pandemic, Memorial Blood Centers is facing a shortage of blood and platelet donations.
Even though the need for blood in the region remains constant, the pandemic has resulted in the cancellation or postponement of many blood drives.
Several locations will be holding needed blood donation opportunities this week.
Upcoming drives include at Northshore Mining in Silver Bay and the Willow River High School on Wednesday, Cirrus Aircraft in Duluth on Thursday and on Friday at the Moose Lake Community School and Mesabi East High School in Aurora.
