DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Last year the Duluth Salvation Army food shelf and hot lunch programs provided over 74 thousand meals to those in need and others seeing hardships due to the continuing pandemic.
Community support is needed to restock the shelves this month during the Minnesota Food Share Campaign.
Now through April 11th donations will be proportionally matched during the statewide campaign.
Donations are accepted by mail or in person at the Salvation Army, 215 South 27th Avenue West in Duluth or online at DuluthSA.org
Monetary gifts give the food shelf more flexibility in purchasing perishable items like meat, dairy and fresh produce.
Because of their buying power, your dollar donation to the Salvation Army goes three times further than if you purchased the items yourself.
