SUPERIOR, WI (CBS-3) – A Duluth woman who was on the Douglas County Sheriff’s “Most Wanted” list has been arrested on animal cruelty-related charges seven years after a warrant was issued for her arrest.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff, Wendy Saathoff, 42, was located in the Wisconsin Dells area Wednesday.
In 2014, she was charged with 17 counts related to animal cruelty, including failing to provide proper food and drink to animals at a residence in the Town of Summit near Foxboro.
According to the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office, Saathoff showed up for her first court appearance in 2014 but did not attend a follow-up status conference.
At that time, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
She was booked into the Douglas County Jail Wednesday night on $5,000 bail.
