DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Following a stand-off in the Piedmont neighborhood that lasted over seven hours, Duluth Police have arrested a 30 year old man who had several active warrants.
According to police, the man barricaded himself in a home on the 2200 block of Nanticoke Street around 1 p-m and refused orders to come out.
The Duluth Tactical Response Team arrived at 4:30 and used chemical munitions in an attempt to gain cooperation.
Through a mutual aid agreement, Superior Police brought their armored vehicle to the scene to provide safety for the officers and the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department also provided assistance.
The suspect, who had warrants for 1st degree criminal sexual conduct, 1st degree domestic assault and DWI, was arrested at 8:21 p-m.
