DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The 26th Annual Kolar Toyota ALS Fishing Tournament is being held Saturday at Island Lake near Duluth.
Competitors can gather at the lake or virtually this year.
The tourney raises funds to assist individuals living with ALS and to research to help find the cause and cure for the deadly disease.
Since 1996, the annual event has raised over 3.5 million dollars.
Chair of the tournament, Blake Kolquist lost his uncle to ALS in 2007 and host, former Twin, Kent Hrbek last his father to the disease in 1982.
