DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Red Flag Warning for portions of northwest Wisconsin and northeast Minnesota on Friday afternoon and evening.
Warm temperatures, high winds and low relative humidity will combine to create critical fire weather conditions and contribute to extreme fire behavior and rapid growth.
The warning is in effect from noon to 8 p-m Friday and includes Carlton, Pine and southern St. Louis Counties in Minnesota and Douglas, Bayfield, Ashland, Washburn and Sawyer Counties in Wisconsin.
Temperatures across the area will be in the low 80’s with winds gusting to 30 miles per hour and humidity as low as 20 percent.
