DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – St. Luke’s in Duluth is one of six healthcare organizations participating in a nationwide COVID-19 study by the Center for Disease Control.
The goal of the study, that began in September of 2020, is to learn how COVID moves through populations.
The 600 participants in Duluth includes vaccinated and un-vaccinated healthcare workers, first responders and other essential workers.
They are tested every week for COVID and have blood drawn every three months to see if they have developed antibodies against it.
The data gathered helps influence national policy decisions about masking and vaccinations.
More than 150 of the participants in Duluth gathered for a photo to commemorate their contributions to the study.
New participants are always needed and any essential or frontline worker 18 and over is welcome to sign up for the study at RECOVERstudy@slhduluth.com
