DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A week long celebration of Bob Dylan begins in Duluth on Saturday.
Dylan, who was born in Duluth and grew up in Hibbing, will turn 81 years old on Tuesday, May 24th.
Events start with self guided tours of Bob Dylan sites and a Dylan Fest kick off party at Fitger’s on Saturday. An acoustic jam session is set for Sunday at Earth Rider in Superior.
Other events during the week include a front porch birthday party at Dylan’s childhood home (519 North 3rd Avenue East) from noon to 1 on Tuesday, a singer-songwriter contest next Friday and a Music of Bob Dylan Concert at the Sacred Heart Music Center on Saturday, May 28th.
