ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – Friday through Sunday is Take a Kid Fishing Weekend in Minnesota.
Residents can fish without a license if they take a kid, 15 or younger, along.
Other fishing regulations need to be observed.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is also hosting a free Park Day on Saturday with no entrance fee to all 75 State Parks and recreation areas in the state.
Governor Tim Walz has proclaimed June as Great Outdoors Month citing the health and wellness benefits of spending time outdoors and encouraging Minnesotans to get outside and enjoy all that the state has to offer.
