DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Inbound wind energy cargo and bagged minerals provided a general cargo boost during June for the Port of Duluth-Superior.
Nearly 13 thousand short tons arrived last month at the Duluth Cargo Connect facilities.
The season-to-date general cargo tonnage now exceeds the five year average by by 33 percent.
Inbound limestone shipments were another highlight of the season so far and are 14.3 percent ahead of the five year average.
System wide, grain shipments through the St. Lawrence Seaway are up 37 percent from this time a year ago.
